Rome’s roller derby team, the Rome Rollergirls, had a home bout on August 18th against the Beach Brawl Skater Dolls from Fort Walton Florida at Fun Wheels off Calhoun Hwy.
It was the second meeting between the two teams this season, with the last match ending 132 to 93 with the Rome Rollergirls coming out on top. 10% of the day’s ticket sales at the will be given to NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness).
The team will also attend the charity’s awareness walk in Rome October 13th. September 1st will be the next scheduled home bout for the Rome Rollergirls. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for ages 6-12 with ages 6 and under free.
