According to police and Floyd County Jail records, the following people were arrested recently by local authorities:
Kira Gleneice Batson, 27, of 729 Compton Rd. in Silver Creek, was charged with simple battery and obstruction emergency phone call.
Jason Wayne Carpenter, 33, of 6762 Alabama Hwy. in Rome, was charged with cruelty to children.
Tamira Vonshay Edmond, 23, of 9 Woodcreek Way in Rome, was charged with battery.
James Scott Oaks, 43, of 275 Old Calhoun Rd. in Rome, was charged with disorderly conduct.
Jessica Lynn Randle, 24, of 495 Miller Mountain Rd. in Lindale, was charged with theft by shoplifting.
