The Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority is hosting a Customer Appreciation Day at the Northside Swim Center this Friday, July 27 from 12 to 3 PM.
All customers will receive a free Kona Ice snow cone with paid admission and may enter into a drawing to win a 2013 Family Season Pass. Additionally, all 2012 Individual and Family Season Pass holders will automatically be entered to win. Customers do not have to be present to win.
Pool Manager, Will Pennscott stated, “The pool has been very busy this summer from swim party rentals, to swimming lessons to summer camps, but pool attendance slowed down a little after the recent pool pump issues. Now that the pump is fixed, we are inviting the public back out to enjoy the rest of the swim season.”
Starting Saturday, August 4, the pool hours will change to Saturday’s only from 11 AM – 5 PM. The pool will remain open during the week for private rentals; there a few limited dates still available. The pool will also open on Labor Day, Monday, September 3, but will close down for the season after the holiday.
The Northside Swim Center is located on Kingston Ave NE at the corner of Church St. NE. Admission is $5 for ages 3 and up. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Only persons with paid admission are allowed inside pool gate. For questions, contact William Pennscott at 706.291.0766.
