According to police and Floyd County Jail records, the following people were arrested recently by local authorities:
John Clifford Carter, 45, of 275 Old Calhoun Rd. in Rome, was charged with probation violation and disorderly conduct.
Christopher Paul Chipman, 25, of 825 Burkhalter Rd. in Silver Creek, was charged with probation violation.
Miranda Agnus Earwood, 32, of 43 Craig Rd. in Kingston, was charged with parole violation.
James Daniel Kelly, 31, of 377 Bells Ferry Rd. in Rome, was charged with theft by shoplifting, obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers, drugs to be kept in original container, and probation violation.
Nicolas Ryan Matthews, 29, of 2818 Calhoun Rd. in Rome, was charged with no tag lights, fleeing or attempting to elude police officers, possession of marijuana, driving while license suspended or revoked, failure to maintain a lane, driving on the wrong side of the road, failure to stop for a stop sign, reckless driving, possession of methamphetamine, no safety belts, and probation violation.
Charles Michael Tucker, 20, of 1933 Old Summerville Rd. in Rome, was charged with 2 counts of theft by taking, fleeing or attempting to elude police officers, probation violation, reckless driving, driving on the wrong side of the road, speeding 80 in a 40, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving while license suspended or revoked, habitual violator, 2nd degree criminal damage to property, and interference with government property.
