According to police and Floyd County Jail records, the following people were arrested recently by local authorities:
Rene Martin Arceo, 50, of 55 Heritage Way in Rome, was charged with 3rd degree cruelty to children, obstructing a 911 call, and battery.
Lauren Ashley Baxter, 26, of 470 Floyd Springs Rd. in Armuchee, was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of hydrocodon, possession of marijuana, criminal use of an article with an altered identification, possession of a firearm or knife while trying to commit crimes, and failure to appear.
Nicole Jean Carter, 30, of 209 North Ave. in Rome, was charged with theft by shoplifting.
Megan Kathleen Chastain, 21, of 115 Lumbardy Way in Rome, was charged with manufacturing marijuana.
Sandra Jean Ingram, 30, of 216 Ave. D in Lindale, was charged with possession of substances with intent to manufacture controlled substances, manufacturing methamphetamine, criminal trespassing, possession of controlled substances.
Mark Winford Poole, 44, of 5899 Haywood Valley Rd. in Summerville, was charged with making harassing phone calls, stalking, making terroristic threats and acts, and probation violation.
