Hot Dogs Make a Stand in the Community

Tim’s wife is not mad at him, yet he is in the Dog House. This type of dog house is a hotdog wagon on wheels, or traveling food truck, that features Nathan’s all beef hot dogs. Rome is known for its restaurants, but the community has slowly taken this to another level lately with the convergence of hot dog stands and restaurants. Tim said, “the benefit is that your mobile, I’m able to move if needed”. This type of restaurant caters to the community, not just the lunch crowd in Rome, and has added another dinning dynamic to the area.
Unfortunately the hot dog place downtown located on Cotton Block recently closed, and the occasional hotdog stand is usually open during lunch hours only. Tim’s dog house is open to the community at 1715 Martha Berry Blvd from 10:30 to 2, but is often still in business after that time.
With the continuing interest in this type of venue, no one knows where the next one will open up. The mobile factor adds to the competitiveness of the industry, and it is not difficult to open a hot dog stand; all one needs is a health permit and a business license.
