During the last week Floyd County Health Inspectors visited several food serving locations. The following information lists code provisions found to be out of adherence during the inspections. These reports have now been added to our Archive Page which can be found on our Restaurant Scores Page.
AMERPACIFIC RIM BISTRO at 168 SHORTER AVE ROME scored a 70-C, below are the violations found during the inspection.
-Person in charge failed to insure that food is from an approved source. CA: No USDA stamp on chicken or ground pork -Discarded pork and returned chickens Corrected On-Site. New Violation.
-Observed refrigerated potentially hazardous food received at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit (whole chickens-45, ground pork-47). CA: Discarded pork and returned chickens Corrected On-Site. New Violation.

-Observed potentially hazardous food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit (breaded chicken at make table-50). CA: Discarded Corrected On-Site. New Violation.
-Observed soiled wiping cloths on food prep tables. CA: Placed in sanitizer Corrected On-Site. Repeat Violation.
-observed carboard and other unapproved lining for shelving. CA: Replace or repair shelf with approved material New Violation.
-Observed daylight at screened door in back of kitchen. CA: Repair all openings New Violation.
DARLINGTON MIDDLE SCHOOL at 1014 CAVE SPRING RD ROME scored a 91-A, below are the violations found during the inspection.
-Observed pasta salad with chicken (46) held above 41 degrees F.on salad bar CA: Labeled with time for control Corrected On-Site. New Violation.
DARLINGTON SCHOOL – CAFETERIA at 1014 CAVE SPRING RD ROME scored a 97-A, below are the violations found during the inspection.
-Observed wiping cloth quaternary ammonium compound sanitizing solution not at proper minimum strength. CA: Remade and tested Corrected On-Site. New Violation.
EL TORO TEX-MEX GRILL at 2115 SHORTER AVE ROME scored a 70-C, below are the violations found during the inspection.
-Observed personal drink in kitchen with no lid or straw. CA: discarded. Corrected On-Site. New Violation.
-Observed handwashing sink used for other purposes than handwashing. New Violation.
-Observed improper vertical separation of raw animal foods and ready-to-eat foods. CA: seperate appropriately New Violation.

GEORGIA SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF at PERRY FARM RD CAVE SPRING scored a 96-A, below are the violations found during the inspection.

JOHNNY’S NEW YORK STYLE PIZZA at 75 233 BROAD ST ROME scored a 90-A, below are the violations found during the inspection.

-observed fan vents in walk in cooler and portable fan with dust build up. CA: Discussed cleaning procedures with CFSM New Violation.
LITTLE CAESARS at 194 HICKS DR ROME scored a 93-A, below are the violations found during the inspection.
