Monday, November 22 – 26:
- Pepperell Middle: (5:00 – 8:00 p.m.) – Chic-Fil-A Night – Chic-Fil-A will donate 10% of all sales from between 5 to 8 p.m. (dine in) to the PMS Can-a-thon effort!
Monday – Friday, November 22 – 26:
- Floyd County Charter System: Thanksgiving Holiday / Student Holiday – Schools will be closed Monday through Friday for Thanksgiving. The Board of Education central office will be open with a limited staff on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Monday, November 29:
- Model Middle: (5:00 – 8:00 p.m.) – Chic-Fil-A Night – Chic-Fil-A will donate 10% of all sales from between 5 to 8 p.m. (dine in) to the MMS Can-a-thon effort!
Wednesday, December 1:
- Coosa High: Toy Drive – The SADD Club is sponsoring a toy Drive to benefit the Sheriff’s Santa Program. Toys should be new and unwrapped. Every $5.00 donations equals one toy. The last day for donations is Thursday, December 9.
- Midway Primary: Santa Shop – The Santa Shop opens today and will continue through December 7.
Thursday, December 2:
- Glenwood Primary: (7:00 p.m.) – “The Elves’ Impersonator” – The 1st grade will present “The Elves’ Impersonator” at the Armuchee High School Auditorium.
- Model Elementary: (6:30 p.m.) – Holiday Concert – The 2nd grade students will perform their holiday concert in the Model High School Auditorium.
- Pepperell Elementary: (3:30 p.m.) – Local School Governance Team – A meeting of the LSGT will take place in the school’s Parent Center.
Friday, December 3:
- Floyd County System: (9 to 1) – Can-A-Thon Drop-off – Schools will be delivering donated cans to the drop-off point.
- Coosa Middle: (8:30 – 2:30 p.m.) – Fabulous Fridays – The 6th grade students will tour Georgia Highlands College to get a glimpse of the college grounds and insight into what opportunities are available in life to those who attend college.
- Model Elementary: (all day) - The 1st grade students will go to see ”How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at the Rome City Auditorium. There are three show performances with the times of 9:00 a.m., 10:45a.m., and 12:45p.m.
- Pepperell Elementary: (3:30 – 5:00 p.m.) – A Holiday Happening – Students and parents will enjoy a DJ, pizza, and drinks after school. This event is sponsored by the PTO. Admission is $5.00.
- Pepperell Primary: (all day) - All Kindergarten through 3rd grade students will attend the play, ”How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at the Rome City Auditorium. There are three show performances with the times of 9:00 a.m., 10:45a.m., and 12:45p.m.
Saturday, December 4:
- Model Middle: (9:00 a.m.) – District Honor Band Tryouts – 7th and 8th grade band students will travel to Woodland High School for the 7th District Honor Band Tryouts.
